COLLING TOWER

Cooling towers are equipment used for industrial water cooling, removing heat from the process by evaporation of water. The heated water is dripped onto the top of the tower and slowly descends through fillers, countercurrent with a stream of air. It is through the contact of the water with air currents that the evaporation of water occurs, a phenomenon that produces its cooling.

The treatment of water in cooling systems is directly related to industrial processes, affecting the efficiency of the production and shelf-life of the equipment involved. The function of water treatment in cooling towers is to keep heat exchangers clean in order to achieve the most efficient heat exchange possible.

The main issue in open evaporative systems such as cooling towers is the formation of scale, corrosion and microbial growth that result in the formation of sludge and biofilms.

CLEAN WATER uses electrochemical catalysts in the control of scale and corrosive processes, also employing the use of biocides for the microbial control in cooling towers.

BENEFITS

  • Improved efficiency in heat exchangers as a result of the control over scale and corrosion processes.

  • Reduction of manual labor.

  • Longer equipment shelf-life.

  • Reduction of manufacturing downtime.
